DAY- 01 : Arr-GUWAHATI – MANAS
Arrival at Guwahati. Traditional Welcome. after a brief welcome you will proceed to Manas National Park
The National Park was designated as a Tiger Reserve in 1973.Situated in the foothills of Bhutanese Himalaya, it famous for its majestic Tiger and Golden Leaf Monkey discovered only a few decades ago. It is a paradise for bird lovers, birds which can be seen here are the Giant Hornbills, Pheasants, Jungle Fowl, Scarlet Minivet, Partridge, Florican and variety of water birds.
Evening at leisure. Night halt at Manas.

DAY- 02 : MANAS
Early morning explore the pristine beauty and wilderness of the jungle on the back of an elephant (for one hour) in the Bansbari range of the park.
Afternoon go for a jeep safari in the most beautiful point of Manas National Park – Mathanguri and you could also have an experience of night safari while returning back to your lodge. Your last night at Manas.

Day -03 : MANAS – GUWAHATI
After breakfast drive to Guwahati ( 185 kms / 05 hrs). enroute visit Madam Kamdev, Hajo and Sualkuchi ( the Silk Village of Assam). Evening at leisure.

DAY-04 : GUWAHATI
After breakfast visit Kamakhya Temple, Umananda Temple ( where one can find the Endangered species Golden Langur), Navagraha Temple ( the temple of Nine Planet an ancient seat of Astronomy). Evening visit Srimanta sankardeva Kalekshetra. Overnight at Guwahatii.

DAY-05 : GUWAHATI – KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast drive to Kaziranga National Park.
In the heart of Assam, covering an area of 430 sq-kms, is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique natural environment.

DAY-06 : KAZIRANGA NP
After an early wake up, you will be taken to the riding point in the Central Range (Kohoro) for an Elephant Ride. After the ride return back to the lodge, having breakfast at 7 a.m drive to the Central Rang (Kohora) of the park for a jeep safari. After lunch at 2.15 there will be another Jeep safari in the Western Range (Baguri) of the park. Evening at leisure.

DAY-07 : KAZIRANGA - JORHAT
After breakfast drive to Jorhat ( 85 kms), check into Tea Bungalow and after refreshment, take a tea tour – where you will be taken to a tea garden and its factory to get a first hand experience of the tea industry of Assam.
CTC (Crush, Tear and Curl) tea is a method of processing tea. In this process the leaves instead of being rolled, are passed through a series of cylindrical rollers with hundreds of small sharp "teeth" that Crush, Tear, and Curl.
This style of manufacture has the advantage that the finished product brews quickly, gives a dark infusion rapidly, is well suited for tea bags, and yields more cups per kg.

** Note that tea plucking is stopped from December to Mid March and so the factories are not in its full swing, and on Mondays the factory remains closed. |
DAY-08 : JORHAT – MAJULI - JORHAT
After breakfast drive to Nimatighat (Jorhat) (15kms / ½ hrs) and ferry to Majuli MAJULI - perhaps the largest river island is a treasure of cultural heritage of the region. The founder of ‘Eka Naam Dharma’ Srimanta Shankardeva took shelter in Majuli in the Fifteenth Century and ever since that Majuli has emerged as the crowning glory of Vaishnavaite culture in Assam. Majuli has a unique treasure of natural and cultural attractions. A melting point of various tribes, Majuli is multifaceted in its attractions that unfurls to its vanity are the rare migratory birds like Adjutant Stork, Pelican, Siberian Crane, etc., traditional handicrafts and pottery, the Mask – craft, ethnic culture and colorful festivals.
At Majuli visit Kamalabari Satra, Garmur Satra and Auni Ati Satra. Evening enjoy the traditional Satriya dance (Gayan Bayan).
Later proceed to Jorhat after crossing River Brahmaputra ( GENERAL FERRY).

DAY-09 : JORHAT
After breakfast drive to Jorhat airport for onward destination. |
